UBIN!! Monday, March 12, 2007

Yesterday was a rather fun day!! Woke at around 8am to prepare, then boarded bus 109 to pasir ris. The plan was that mon and JJ were to meet at the pasir ris bus stop, so when my bus came, they could board it. But, in the end, SOMEONE woke late and was late by 30mins. So at around 1020, we successfully reached Changi Village. First went to have some breakfast before taking the ferry to Ubin. Started cycling at around 11am. We wanted to go check out Chek Jawa, so we planned our route there, ended up cycling in a circle twice! WUAHAHHAAH! It was rather fun to explore places on your own! So after the 2 loops, we went to check out the other route to chek jawa before finally finding out that all the routes to chek jawa were closed. With the urge for cold drinks increasing, we cycled real fast back to the town area for COCONUT and ICE CREAM!! The aunty cheated our money by saying the coconuts were young, but turns out that they were thousand year-old demons(qian nian lao yao). After resting, JJ had this temptation to go back to mainland Singapore but that was promptly stubbed by me.

After approximately 45min-1 hour of rest, I suggested going to see the quarry. Ended up going in another circle before reaching one quarry. Halfway to the other quarry, we found out that there was no more time left so we headed back. On our way back, JJ tried the single bike and after numerous attempts and strict instructions by me and mon, he finally learnt how to cycle!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I have to say that JJ is quite a fast learner..

So finally at 3.30pm, we were back in Changi Village. I was sticky and smelly!! JJ went home while I accompanied mon to Sim Lim Square to check out the laptops. Found one potential compaq laptop running on AMD Turion. So next was heavenly dessert before IT Show. It was a little crowded and everyone threw their flyers on the floor!! Bought ink first before checking out cam then went to and fro dell, compaq, lenovo, fujitsu booths. Met mon's parents too. In the end, after numberous considerations, she decided to get the DELL laptop cause it is really too value for money. Although the looks is..........................

Went home at 8.45pm and stood all the way back home!! Went I reached my bus stop, my feet were ACHING so badly that I had to limp back home. So damn pain la!! Ate heavenly mee before sleeping..

In conclusion, a damn FUN and fruitful day!! Next is.. basketball?
