Officially Old.. Monday, October 30, 2006

On sat, my mum was gonna have a steamboat to celebrate my birthday so I had to help her do some cleaning cause she invited her tennis friends over too. The steamboat was nice! Then we watched some french movie that we bought from SCV video-on-demand. Finally slept at 2.30am.

Went for cool chalet outing yesterday to celebrate my birthday. First, went to meet mon at Tampines MRT station at 8am before proceeding to WhiteSands on Sunday. Ate bad macDonalds pancakes before going to NTUC to get BBQ stuff. All this while I was wondering why mon chose to meet me so early since we could meet in the afternoon for cycling then BBQ. So she was saying that there is no ATM at Pasir Ris Park so I mentioned that Downtown East have, and she thought that I guessed correctly that we were going to Downtown East when in fact I said that cause Downtown East was near to Pasir Ris park and we could make a stop there. Yup, so I was quite lucky.

So after we left our bags at the counter and the hot dogs at the lockers in the TOILET, we promptly proceeded to Escape theme park! First ride was the small ferris wheel thing where we squeezed ourselves into the tiny 'container'. Then to the superman theme where I got a little dizzy. Next to the spinning thing then to viking I think. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER sit beside mon when riding Viking. Her scream is SCARY!! So after the spine chilling experience, we went for heavenly GO-KART. IT WAS THE BEST RIDE I HAD. First we went to the amateur track in which mon was my pillion rider. Then next, it was mon's turn to drive.

Note to self : Never ride mon's car when she is driving.

The track had this slope up and a rather sharp turn and when it was mon's turn to go up, she just turned too sharply that we knocked into the side of the track. I was like, "OIE OIE OIE!!!" Wuahahaha.. damn funny..

Anyway, she was a really fast learner cause she overtook me TWICE in the advanced track. GRRR!! Mon and I thoroughly enjoyed the Go-Kart so we went back for more even though the guys were here. We abandoned them and just went to play go-kart. Waited for 1 whole hour just to have 2 mins of thrill..

So after that, we went for the log ride before returning back to the chalet cause we had this feeling that JJ was getting angry. So when we went back, JJ, KW, Poof, YN, GZ and Eileen were already there. Ate and ate before Eileen said that she had to leave for project meeting, then ok lor, she left and we continued eating. Then 10mins later, she emerged with the birthday cake. Quite a surprise la.

Ok, this is getting long, so anyway, after eating, they gave me my presents and open open talk talk then poof n yn have to leave so kw drove them home leaving me mon eileen gz n jj at the bbq pit playing Indian poker. It was rather fun conning GZ to change his card. Wuahahahaha, and as usual, JJ was the scary betrayer..

At 11.30++, jj and gz had to leave, so that remains poor kw with scary mon and me and eileen. Played silly card games to clear the food and then we cleared the area and moved back into the room where mon took 45mins to bathe. So after everyone was clean and comfy, kw took us out for a ride and we went from Changi Village to HarbourFront to Bukit Timah then back to Pasir Ris. By the time we returned at 5am, we were all half dead so we promptly went to sleep.

Got awakened by numerous alarms and we checked out at 1015. And I forced mon to bring me somewhere to eat. I FINALLY WENT TO HER HOUSE, her mum looks really young and her tv ROCKS. So blah blah, went to cartel for set lunch then back to her house to get my stuff and I was on my way back to school. Slept all the way to Boon Lay cause I was really tired.

All in all, I REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF! Thanks to mon and JJ for organising this EVENT, and Eileen, KW, poof, GZ, YN for attending it. *touched*

Anyway, I think I have to bi guan nian gong already. Exams in 2 weeks time. SCARY!

Last one before turning old.. Friday, October 27, 2006

Well, this would be my last post before turning 20. Someone once told me to grow up when I reach 20, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Haha, sorry!

Anyway, today went out with my mum. First went to string my mum's racket before going to VivoCity. It is super big!! Quite a lot of shops weren't open yet but I quite like the wading pool on top of the shopping center. Can foresee myself wading there next time when I am out with you guys. Also, I saw E-ZONE there!! From the looks of it, I think it would be a rather big outlet.

Just now, some teenage girl knocked into my mum's breast and my mum said it was rather painful..

Weeeeee............ OLD LIAO LOR.....

Well, today I had to hand in my lab, but I didnt manage to finish! We were supposed to do a calculator which is capable of adding and subtracting, but our's could only add. But, somehow, I didnt really panic even though we couldnt finish it. So is this good or bad? My partner and I wrecked our brains trying to find the problem to no avail. Can subtract 2 digits correctly then how come 4 digits cannot?!!?

Anyway, I conveniently skipped my accounting lecture to figure out what's wrong with the circuit, so that means my accounting is DEAD. Hope tomorrow I can borrow somebody's solutions to copy. Considering I do not know anyone in that lecture, it is going to be an uphill task.

These few days were spent waiting for Sunday. I BELIEVE that I will thoroughly enjoy myself on Sunday, but on Monday when I get back to school, it would be hell all the way till end of exams..

Sunday come quick..

Well, friday met up with mon to get some stuff before stuffing ourselves silly in Sakae sushi. Tried our best to chat while being constantly blasted by sec sch stereos.

So on sat, it was JJ's 21st birthday celebration. It was rather fun. After eating, chatting and playing wheel of fortune, we finally went down to the basketball courts where me and mon played shadow basketball. KW was freaked out by us as usual. So, the guys when to get alcohol and I was in this big dilemma(sp) as to whether I should stay over or go home, and as usual, I left the decision to mon. Gosh, I am really indecisive. So in the end, we decided to go home at 11pm and waited for eileen for 30mins before going off by ourselves.

Actually, I realised that it was a good decision to leave cause I was rather tired when I reached home..

So yea, now to what happened just now when I was chatting with my mum. During dinner, my mum told us that my aunt decided to live in Japan because the things there are so organized and the service is very good compared to Singapore. Then she said that we shall see it for our own eyes when we go to japan after I graduate. So, I said, "Actually me and mimiyan plan to go to japan 3-4 years after I graduate for backpacking."

GUESS WHAT SHE SAID

She replied, "NO! I want you to accompany me there."
I said, "Yea, I will be going with you first after I grad, but after 4 years of working and saving, I will go with her."

Silence...

I still don't like the idea of you going. What if something happens to you? I will be hurt forever.(something around this line, I forget the exact one) Being the only daughter, you have the responsibility to blah blah, i forgot le.

Even ****** also realise that being the only daughter, she has responsibilities. (****** is my outside tennis friend) She once told me that she doesnt anyhow go out cause she knows that she has to take care of her mother.

I was speechless..

Later, she asked me, "So are you angry after you heard what I said?"

I was still in a daze so I replied no.

Later, I thought more about it, and something in me started to sizzle. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY RESPONSIBILITIES?!?!? Ok, I know I have the responsibility to take care of my parents, but does that mean that I have to give up on my dreams!??! AND, its not like I am going to war or Iraq, ITS GOD DAMN JAPAN!!! Also, I am not going with some weakling, its MONICA LA! The girl who saved us from paying extra even though we wasted lots of food in Sakae!!

I TOTALLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND MAN!! ITS OK IF SHE WORRIES, BUT WHEN IS SHE GONNA LEARN THAT I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF?!?!?!

Oh man, I sound like some teenage lian. Haha.. =p

In conclusion, my mum still does not have enough confidence in me. So, from now on, I would have to strive to gain her confidence through studies and work!

I don't really now what's going on in my life on. Time seems to fly past so quickly nowadays that I cant really get a grip on reality. Every week, its just labs, tutorials, lectures and trainings then reaching hall after 1030pm.

Today, as in Thursday, my roomy told me that she was going back home. I replied saying that its quite rare that she goes back on thursdays since she always stays still friday although she doesnt have classes on that day. Then she said, "How come you so free everyday?" A rather relevant question since I downloaded Super Puzzle Fighter on wed and she saw me playing games for 2 days.

Anyway, the thing is, how can a computer engineering student be free everyday?! I am not saying that shes wrong, but it seems that I am not doing any work in hall! Ok, I don't know what I am trying to get across to you, so just ignore me.. =)

This whole week, I kept falling asleep in my accounting lectures. As in, I will wake up from my sleep 30mins into the lecture feeling quite energized, but after 2 mins of trying to listen to the lecturer, I fall asleep again!! WHAT THE HELL!??!?

I did something against my principles this week. I copied a lab mate's program and submitted it instead of doing it by myself!! And, the worst thing is, IT IS PROGRAMMING LAB!! GOD, what is happening man, arent you supposed to be good at programming?!

Can school end soon so that I can start catching up with my work?

I think this sem's exam is gonna be BAD...... =(

I told my mum yesterday that I had no more money to buy shampoo le, then she was really shocked and asked why I didnt tell her earlier. I told her my shampoo finished suddenly and I found out that I had no money to buy. Such a lame excuse right..

I really dread the days when I have to tell my mum that I have no more money left. She would be very worried and maybe guilty for not putting in money in time. I REALLY REALLY HATE IT!! I feel so bad for depending on my parents! And, today, I went to the ATM to check my balance, and guess what..

My dad banked in $400 which was $100 more!! After school, I called my mum to ask her why dad banked in more, but, before I could ask, my mum said, "Eh, daddy bank in $100 more leh, cause he scared you no money to use. When I told him last night that you no money no use, he was shocked cause he forget to bank in, so he rushed down to the ATM to bank in for you." Somewhere around that line..

God, I was so so so so so so so guilty. I told her to bank in $100 less next month, but she told me to leave the money and use up slowly. Sigh.. Such good parents I have. Next time when I start working, I MUST PAY THEM BACK MAN!!

So today, I finally went to get the shampoo! Just nice yesterday use finish the previous one.

Tomorrow someone coming over.. I need some sleep..

Have to save money.. Sunday, October 01, 2006

Today, pulled myself out of bed at 7pm to go for match at the Singapore Swimming Club. Reached there super super early cause the bus trip took half of my estimated time. So blah blah, after the match, my teammates and I went to Parkway Parade for lunch. After that, walked around a while before I FORCED mon to meet me at tamp.

So I took bus 31 down to tamp and that bus nearly broke down TWICE. I was so tired that I slept throughout the whole journey. So when I reached there, there was a performance by BAND RED of yamaha in which mon was drooling over the violinist. So off we went to Long John Silver where we chatted and crapped for quite along time, then to arcade for photohunt and comics connection where we jammed the alleys for 30 mins. Later, more photohunt and Japan trip planning at Times. So at 7pm, the BIG decision came. To eat or not to eat. Eat or not, eat or not.

So in the end, she accommpanied me down to cartel for dinner. Sigh, such a good friend. Don't worry, I know what to do in Japan now.

The stupidest thing was that I forgot to use my cartel card to get discount!! DUMBO!!!

I have to humble down myself..

Oh yea! I need to check out that vampire manga!!
