Busy day tomorrow!! Wednesday, August 31, 2005

Tomorrow will be a very busy day for me. Classes end at 12.30pm, then I will be meeting my roommate to attend my FIRST part-time job. I think I would be working until 5pm, after that, I would return to my hotel room and prepare for my 'IVP' training at 6.30pm. It ends at 8.30pm and I would be going back to hotel to do my remaining tutorials. Hope everything tomorrow turns out fine. I got a feeling that when I go for the 'IVP' training, the coach will say "Angeline, you are not required to turn up for future trainings. Please pack your stuff and leave the compound immediately. The security guards will guide you out." Wuahahha.. =P

I am quite traumatised by the amount of heat my laptop is emiting. It gets quite hot after a while, then my roomy told me to put something below it to tilt it if I am using it for a long time. Am considering whether to get a laptop fan or not. Suggestions, anyone?

Everyone!! Say hello to my laptop!! So very excited when I went to get it from the computer shop. Was awaiting that moment since the start of the day. Next purchase, a printer which I am going to share with my friend. Can anyone give me a very macho name for my laptop? A name which has a link with Inuyasha is much preferred. Must be a nice name cause its gonna be the name of my bf for many years. = )

Guess who I saw on TV on Sunday.. Monday, August 29, 2005

Well, switched on the TV on sunday afternoon and saw a very disgusting thing. "Yi bu fen de ren hui chun cian, yi bu fen de ren bu hui." It was kind of funny to see such a thing on TV, but how come I couldn't see another particular person?! Anyway, I am using my friend's laptop now, but after tomorrow, I will be using MY OWN laptop!! Wee!!! Don't know why, I had this feeling that I would be getting my laptop this week, and indeed, the computer shop person called me today.

Today, did quite a lot of things. Went to attend Maths lecture, then went back to hotel to change clothes and went to play tennis from 12 to 2.30pm. After tennis, me and my friends went to swim until 4.20pm. Went back to bathe then went to Jurong Point to eat and get groceries. Now, I am super tired but it was a rather fun day. = )

Incoming Job!! Thursday, August 25, 2005

Well, feeling quite excited recently, cause my roomy is going to introduce a job to me. Admin job which does not need to use brain, and I can earn $6 per hour! Weee.. Now, I can lessen the load of my parents, and maybe pay for my laptop. Starting to get the hang of Electronics, but still dont know how to do a lot of questions.

How come I cant seem to see him around campus?

Valiant is very VERY short.. Wednesday, August 24, 2005

Yesterday, went to watch Valiant with Mon and Shar. Met Shar at Raffles Place MRT station before going to Somerset. Ate Long John Silver cause we were just too hungry. Oh yea, before that, went to get tickets before playing photohunt in which we were placed 10th and 4th. After eating, Shar said she wanted to get hairpin so we went to the shop, and along the way, I saw INUYASHA FIGURINES!!! Browsed the shop while waiting for Mon to come, in the end, Shar didnt get hairpin.

The movie was really really really short. It ended in a flash, and I didnt know that pigeons could kiss. Overall, quite ok show. Normally, in such outings, I would enjoy the dinner ,where we would crap and talk about JC life, more than the movie. Ate in Long John Silver again, and I ordered crispy salsa prawns with cheese fries? Couldnt remember the name, but it was really quite nice. Especially the prawns, DELICIOUS!! Crapped about Shar and Sophian, Mon and JJ, and my 'sweet date'. Brought up the testicles incident again, and they laughed like hell. Later, Shar treated me and Mon to New Zealand ice-cream. Thanks a lot!!

As for today, went for my one hour lecture, then went back to room to slack. Waited until 11.20am before my friend called me to play tennis. So, we played from 11.30am to 1.30pm. Rushed back to bathe and met my mother to sign the Computer loan. I have to wait at most 2 weeks to get my laptop. ARGH!! After that, went to have lunch with my mum and we chatted for a very long time. Nowadays, I feel that my mum has become more of my friend. We walked back to the hotel together before she took the bus home. I feel quite bad as she had to come down from home just to sign the loan.

Going to hang my laundry then do my tutorials.. =(

Sharifah actually has a fan club in her school. INCREDIBLE!!!

I am Improving!! Monday, August 22, 2005

Well, had quite a fun day yesterday. Went out with someone, played arcade, ate in Swensens and chatted for quite a while before parting. Sorry we couldnt go to East Coast or watch The Maid in Princess. It was a little too late, and I had to catch the MRT back to hotel.

Today, I had 3 lectures. All of which I do not like. Endured the first 2 lectures but I collapsed at Econs lecture. It was SO SO boring. Don't know how my friend could endure it. Slept for most of the first hour but I paid attention during the last hour. It drained most of my energy.

Parkway Parade's arcade is VERY sucky. Buttons spoilt, games are very outdated, and there are very noisy ah lians playing ice hockey there.

Some feelings are getting lesser and lesser. I am becoming a saint!! = )

Just now, while clearing all my JC notes, I came across this SRJC letter to parents regarding the SRJC Graduation Day. The letter itself isnt interesting, rather, its the scribblings(sp) on it that is rather interesting. From what I can recall and decipher, the 'conversation' was between me and Sharifah.

Me :"JJ bday coming. what u buying for him?"
Shar :"i dono. umm. ideas?"
Me :"buy a mon for him?"
Shar :"good idea.. =P"

Also, there is a phrase wrote by me on the letter. "How to become dummies for dummies by dummies" Omg, how lame is that?!

The 'letter' made all the fond memories of JC life flood my mind. Each day, the lame, stupid, funny and interesting happenings in the class never fails to amuse me. Just that day, while on the MRT going back to hotel, I suddenly recall that time I said testicles instead of tentacles in front of Mr Lotfi, and I started to giggle to myself on the train. I really really REALLY REALLY MISS JC LIFE AND 2S23!!!

Somebody please organise a class outing!!

Finally, one month have past... Saturday, August 20, 2005

I have officially concluded my first month in Uni. My thoughts about the last month - I am DEAD!! Just one month, I already have doubts for the rest of the semester. Exams in approximately 2 months time, and I already have difficulty in doing my tutorials. Especially Electronics and Economics. Yesterday, had economics tutorial. At first, tutorials were very good, as in I can understand what the tutor was saying, BUT, yesterday was like, "What the hell is she saying?!" Totally totally cannot understand. Not to mention Electronics, whose tutorials were like hell. Luckily, I still can understand Maths and Programming.

Just now, I accidentally cut my finger. Wuahahaha..

Might not be able to stay in hostel next year.. =(

Monica Liew Ting Wei is a VERY VERY BAD AND NAUGHTY GIRL!! Purposely never tell me to keep me in suspense. I thought yet another package got eaten up by the post office! Luckily I msged her, otherwise, that doubt would be in my mind forever. BAD BAD BAD GIRL!!

Oh yea, "Haha, just so fun to keep someone in suspense. Did she receive? No one at home to sign for it is it?? How come she still havent msg me to thank me???? "

Those thoughts really did run through my mind during these 3 days. You are a bad bad girl.. =(

Give me thy power, O full moon..

Yup, I said that when I was walking to the tennis court. Alas, the moon(not very full actually) favoured the ACJC girl more than me, and I lost 7-9. At first I wasnt very sad/depressed, maybe because the defeat hasnt sunk in yet. Then when I was walking back to hotel, I called my mother and told her about the result and she told me not to feel bad. That was the time I felt real sad/depressed. Then SUDDENLY, I realised that I didnt do anything wrong in the match. Sure, I made a lot of errors, but I made the best of what I could do on that match. At least I didnt lose 9-0 or 9-2. 9-7 is a respectable scoreline. Too bad I found out her weakness too late. So, I told myself I have done everything I could, and there shouldnt be any regrets. So now, I feel calm and at ease. At least I can go out next week.

Mon, Shar! Lets go watch Valiant next week!!

I went to apply for the tertiary student ezlink card cause I thought I will have special tertiary student rates. But I was wrong. Although the machine gave the double beep which was the same as in JC, the rates were all in adult fare. If you are charging adult fare, please DO NOT put concession on the card lah! Grr, so I spent $11 for nothing. But, the card is quite nice so all is not in waste.

Oh yea, I forgot to add that I skipped my FIRST lecture on Monday. It was Economics lecture and since we wouldnt know what the lecturer was talking about, we decided to pon. Tutorial classes were SO much better.

I want to complain about my maths lecturer here. HE IS SO GODDAMN BORING!! He teaches by reading out the contents of the slides, then he will like, read one sentence and stone for 5 minutes before continuing. As if he doesnt know what the slide was talking about. I totally ZzZzZ during his lecture. Ok, so I didnt sleep, but I stone there for the entire lecture. Luckily, he wouldnt be teaching us for the entire semester, and Statistics would be taught by another lecturer (thank god!).

Tried to do tutorial last night until I nearly pull all my hair out...

Yesterday, went for 'IVP' training. The coach let us hit a few balls then asked us to play doubles. Won a few matches, but during one match, I stretched to hit a backhand volley, and the ball went straight into the face of my opponent. Like, OOPS!! I didnt want to hit it so straight to her, but, oh well, too bad for her. =P

Tomorrow is doom's day. NTU Tennis Open match at 9pm. Wish me luck guys, I NEED it! If I shuai shuai win that match, I am playing the second seeded girl! And, I know that girl and she is quite pro. Sigh, better not think too much and just go whack the ball tomorrow.

My First Time!! Monday, August 15, 2005

On Saturday, followed my brother to Sim Lim Square cause he wanted to get a computer. I really think SLS is a computer geek paradise. The amount of hardware, software and games there is really mouth-watering. After that, went to eat at BK with bro and cousins. Upon reaching home, we started our 'Fix the Computer' mission. It went quite smoothly, and believe it or not, I actually did help out! I really like fixing things together, eg. Lego, Gundam figurines, Ikea Furniture, Computer, etc. Can get that satisfaction after seeing the thing work after you have fixed it.

Also, I really think I dress sloppily. Just now before going back to hotel, went to Taka alone wearing NTU college of engineering polo shirt, and shorts. Can see that everyone around were dressed nicely, but I heck care them lah.

SOMEBODY'S BIRTHDAY IS COMING!!

To JJ: The guy who was watching anime was a stranger, thats why I walked away quickly. Argh.. my rich boyfriend..

I really think that my chances of finding a rich boyfriend in Uni is diminishing. Just now, when I was walking back to my room, I passed by a guy's room and he was watching anime inside. I heard a voice that was very similar to Inuyasha so I stopped and reversed to his room, then I asked him, "Inuyasha?" Suddenly, I realised something was wrong, but it was too late. The guy said, "Huh?". Then I replied, "Sorry, I thought you were watching Inuyasha." and walked away. I BET he thinks I am stupid. First, I asked a guy a stupid question, then I tripped and nearly fall down in front of 2 guys, now this...

Under a flying mermaid, Monica told me that she has a ex- BOYFRIEND!!!!!!

Stuffed ourselves silly in sakae sushi. Ate tons and tons of fried food, esp fried scallop.

Something interesting happened while on my hotel-bound train. I was standing facing the door since it was super crowded, then at Redhill, an indian man bringing his 2 children was walking towards my door. Then when the beeper sounded, he hurriedly pushed his son into the train, but the door closed halfway causing the son to be separated with his father. Panicking, the son squeezed out of the closing door to the other side, but his plastic bag was trapped by the door. Luckily the door reopened and everything was back to normal. His father apologized for making the door open again, and threatened to hit his son. I mean like, what has the son done wrong?! It was the father who pushed the son in, and it is normal reaction to panic when you are about to get separated from your parent right? Geez.. I think I am going mad..

I want to sit car car..

Yesterday, went to Jia Wei's booth before going to Esplanade to catch the fireworks. It was SPLENDID! But, the impact not big enough. Still very nice nevertheless. After the fireworks, me and my mum walked to beside the national library to catch a bus out of that busy area. On the way, the whole mob was walking on the grass and trampling on the poor plants at the sidewalk. So poor thing! Reached hotel at about 10.40pm. When I was climbing the stairs up to my room, I saw the room was dark so I thought my roomy was out. Then when I reached my door, I saw a muddy sport shoe which I have never seen before. I thought a guy was in the room, and I sort of heard somebody talking in the room, so I hesitated before knocking on the door. I mean like, what if I opened the door to see a guy in her bed?! Turns out it was a false alarm as my roomy slept early, and the person talking was my neighbour. =P

Oh yea! In the middle of the night, I suddenly woke up and when I looked to the side, I saw my roomy trying to lie on the floor. But somehow, she climbed up to her bed again. Very interesting...

The Fireworks Festival.. Saturday, August 06, 2005

Just went to the fireworks carnival at Marina South. There were SO MANY people that I think Taku(Be With You) would faint on the spot upon stepping out of the MRT. Squeezed onto the packed 400A bus and reached the carnival. The fireworks was quite nice, but I prefer to watch it real upclose to feel the impact of the blast from the fireworks. Feels real dramatic that way. Anyway, after the fireworks, there was a concert. First up was dong jing yue tuan, whom I have absolutely no idea who that was. It would have been better if it was dongli huo che. Didnt stay long as my parents wanted to go eat dinner.

Note to self: If you are going to carnivals, best to go with friends.

I keep thinking that FIR was going to perform there so I was looking forward to that. But, in the end, we left early so quite disappointed. Was that FIR singing in the background when I was walking back to the bus stop?

Feeling excited yet nervous..

Just woke up from a 30mins nap so now I am feeling a little groggy. IVP trials in aproximately 1hr 15 mins. I feel a little nervous yet excited. Yesterday, I went to watch the guy's trials. Don't know if today's one is the same as yesterday. Anyway, when I was walking back to my hall, I met RuiShan. Her way of walking is UNMISTAKABLE. For the benefit of JunJie, I shall document our conversation.

RS: "Eh? Where are you staying?"
Me:"I stay at this block." (Points to my block) "You?"
RS: "I stay at this block." (Points to her block)
Me:"Oic.. next time I go and find you.."

Actually, before I met her, I went to see where her room was. So I was bullshitting when I asked her where she stay. I don't want to make her feel as if I was stalking her.

Wish me luck guys.. I'm gonna need it..
